Why Do I Keep on Playing?

I just had a realization. It's been bugging me since last Saturday. Why am I staying here? The company's on the verge of falling off the cliff. Why don't I just leave? For sure they will understand me.

I owe this to my best bro who boasted too much about his favorite NBA team who won 3 straight games on their way to the conference finals. Haha. He told me what impressed him and made him follow the team. The thought sank to me so deeply that I can't help but comprehend what truly dwells at the bottom of me. Now it became clearer to me.

They're playing to stay in the game so that they can stay together longer. All this time I was denying the same spirit within me. Why am i staying and not giving up on the game? Because I believe in the team? Yes, but too little of a factor. Because I believe in the leaders? Not too much really. It's because I want to be with the team, prolong our togetherness longer and share more memories.

If not for this, I may already have given up a long time ago, start over again and look for a new team. But I chose this and I'll stand by it. I want to be with this team and I'll try to keep it together as long as I can. God knows my heart but still, His will be done. Credits to my best bro! ;)

I got so excited the moment I learned about David Archuleta's concert here in the Philippines. I am a solid fan and was a follower since his American Idol journey. I can never forgive myself if I miss this rare opportunity of watching him perform live. So with the budget I have, I got a Golden Ticket to my dream!

Archie's Manila concert was such an amazing experience! I can't get enough of this kid. I'm 3 years older than Archie but I would say I so much look up to him. He's so sincere, humble and natural. He has all the makings of a true Idol. He gave it all in each and every performance that night. Too bad I forgot to charge my camera the night before so I didn't get the chance to record all his performances; but it turned out to be a good thing 'coz I was able to focus more on watching him.

Every note coming out of his tender mouth was such a delight to my ears. Dang, it feels like Heaven. Haha. There was never a dull moment with him that night. You can see the wonderful smiles lining through the audience faces all throughout the performance. Everybody's indulging in the mesmerizing aura of Archie. He never failed to impress his Filipino fans and his performance that night further raised the bar of admiration and respect the fans have for him.

To our Dear David Archuleta, Thank you very very much for coming to the Philippines to delight your Filipino fans. Thank you so much for sharing your gift. We will never forget that May 16, 2009. We will treasure the moment forever. We hope you come back to the Philippines soon.

I'm just one of the billion fans inspired by your music around the world. I'm also a singer-songwriter and I hope to be more like you someday. It may sound so delusional but it will be a dream come true to have a duet with you. Haha. Who knows. I'll never stop dreaming and pursue what I really love to do. That's what I learned from you. =D
